Player Overview
The Player

Born in Nigeria on July 11, 2009, Sean Ojeiku began his football journey at age six on a sand pitch in Lagos no grass, no infrastructure, just pure instinct and a love for the game passed down from a football-obsessed father. From those humble beginnings, Sean would go on to represent a FC Barcelona-affiliated academy and tour Spain against Barça youth teams from across the globe before the age of ten.

Six formative years across Nigeria's competitive academy system including stints at FFLSA, Provazios FC and Olumo United FC built a player with advanced technical literacy and real match maturity. He learned the game at positions across the field: starting as a defender, evolving into a midfielder, and ultimately finding his most devastating form as a CAM and striker.

In 2023, Sean emigrated to Calgary, Canada at age 14. He arrived with no local football connections. Within his first season at Royal West FC, he was helping the team reach the Top 4 in the city and qualify for provincials. The following season at North Calgary FC, deployed as a striker, he scored over 20 goals. He now plays for Calgary West FC, where a hat-trick against a Tier 1 U16 side while representing U17 Tier 3 signalled the quality of a player ready for the next level.

"Football is a form of Art. A player can turn moments in time and space into something special weaving the ball through the field like a magician with his wand, creating an experience that is not only entertaining, but truly beautiful."
Sean Ojeiku

Sean brings to every team a Nigerian international pedigree, a multicultural football education spanning three countries, and the mental resilience of a teenager who rebuilt his life and his game in a foreign land and thrived.
